Rooted in the field of the social sciences and humanities, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Identifying among students and teachers the conditions for the appropriation of OER and/or resistance to them in learning and teaching activities, drawing in particular on work in the sociology of uses (Vidal, 2012; Proulx, 2005);
Assessing the effects of OER use on academic success;
Analyzing the conceptions and discourses of local institutional leaders regarding open education.
Main activities
Activity 1:
Exploring existing conceptual frameworks on open educational practices in higher education (political, sociological, and pedagogical approaches), particularly within the francophone context, in order to produce a literature review.
Activity 2:
Identifying and documenting:
Open educational practices within the teaching community of Nantes Université, and eventually those of its institutional and strategic partners (EUniWell, UNITWIN Network on Open Education (UNOE), etc.);
Support mechanisms, techniques, methods, and tools for the development of open educational practices within the community of instructional designers and (techno-)pedagogical staff at Nantes Université, and eventually among its institutional and strategic partners (EUniWell, UNITWIN Network on Open Education (UNOE), etc.);
Policy instruments that contribute to the implementation of a university-level open education strategy, particularly in the francophone context.
Activity 3:
Observing the multidimensional effects of open educational practices on university training policies, pedagogical team training strategies, instructional design, and student success within Nantes Université.Haut du formulaire
Relevant prior experience for the position: Research topics in the field of higher education; observation of teaching practices; organization and dissemination of scientific events; writing of scientific articles, reports, and syntheses; scientific presentations at national and international levels
Education and/or qualifications: PhD in Education and Training Sciences
